2011 ACTIVITIES
2011 has been a busy year for our activity programme. We have run over 20 Rap/Beatbox sessions across the County and due to generous funding, we have been able to offer these sessions completely free of charge to clubs.
Our weekend activity camp at Lodge Hill in June was enjoyed by 50 young people, despite the rain! Activities included mountain biking, low ropes, high-all-aboard and camp survival/cooking.
Two of our local pool players achieved success in the CYP National Pool Finals held in Coventry in May. Michael White from Littlehampton was the runner-up in the Under 19's and Josh Atfield from Bognor Regis was the winner of the Under 16's championship. This was a tremendous achievement for both players. Well done!
Other activities held this year have included young women's and young mens' events, a pampering day for young mums, dance events, a table tennis tournament, windsurfing , mountain boarding and go karting.
New for this year were 'Drive Safely' Sessions in Guildford aimed at young men to encourage safer driving and road safety. These events were very popular and we plan to hold similar events next year.
